County Sheriff

Description

This page shows the calculation and variables used to determine the Hillsborough County Sheriff capital costs. The annual new unincorporated county population is used to find the annual capital cost for patrol deputies, equipment cost per patrol deputy, and patrol deputies per thousand persons. The capital cost for Sheriff’s patrol deputies reflects the need to replace equipment every six years. This is integrated into the sub-model through the variable annualized cost. The slider bar on the left of the page lets a user change the patrol deputies per thousand persons LOS standard.
